Ok so i haven't been on for forever, so i'll try to recap and not be boring.  Finals and projects and classes are all over and done with and i think i did well. so i'm pleased and thankful i don't have to worry about any of it for another week and a half or so.  I came home to good ole' Oberlin to clean my house and decorate for our annual open house.  Friday night we had a great crisis b/c our real tree that we decorated that afternoon fell over while we were at the girls' b-ball game (mom and i didn't stay for the boys game, which was good b/c...) so we made a quick run to McCook to by the last good looking 71/2 ft fake pine tree at Wal-Mart (the lady had to box up the one on display and by the way that was our second trip to Wal-Mart that day).  So that made the first couple days at home interesting and busy. Our Open House went great and we are still eating the leftovers so there is no short supply of sweets.

Pretty much the rest of my time at home has been spent working at the Landmark, playing computer games, doing endless laundry, and reading...I finished Captivating so now it's on to Harry Potter 6!

Christmas was great! we opened presents here and then went to church and then left for DodgeCity to see my dad's family.  We had a good time with them esp. during the annual white elephant gift exchange.  As ususal i got stuck with an undesirable gift...canned preservatives that i will probably never eat, but Melissa ended up w/ the chocolates and shared so it wasn't too bad. we stayed in Dodge and spent a couple extra days w/ my Grandparents and went to Narnia!(great movie and even better the 2nd time)

so to wrap things up. my New Years' plans are that i am working the entire day and watressing for dinner that night so i'll probably be too tired to do anything.  well, i miss ya all a lot! i'll see ya soon. until then Luv Ya!

My extended weekend is over and it's back to the craziness of the school week, but i had an excellent weekend.  I took Ben home w/ me and we hung out w/ my family Sat. basically i worked on homework and we watched movies and listened to the football game..which doesn't go together very well. newho Ben and i went to the park for a walk Sat. night and ran into Kelly and Bayley so i got to catch up w/ them and i was accused of not up-dating my site enough, therefore, i'm writing. Sunday we went to Praire Chapel Church and then drove down to Dodge to see my grandparents.  Ben hadn't ever been to Dodge City so we had to show him some of the sites.  We ended up going to a Saloon show at Boothill where they had singers, comedians, and showgirls. Then today my mom and sister and i went shopping and Ben and I got back in Manhattan by 8ish

So the craziness of my schedule won't really start until Wed. but i've got a lot to do by then...this semester my schedule is so crazy sometimes i wonder what i've gotten myself into MWF starts at 7:40 i have Christian Doctrine at 8:30, at 9:30 i check in w/ the 2 teachers i work study for. 10:30 is Western Civ. at KSU, 11:30 is Public Speaking at MCC (ya i can barely watch b/w the 2 classes in 10 mins) then i get to have lunch. then i go in to work for about an hour, then i have Interior Design Studio (KSU) from 2:30 til 5:30. TU is better...i go into work at 9:30, chapel is at 11, lunch and then Acts class at 1...the rest of my day is devoted to running errands and doing my loads of homework and reading.

I'm finally back in Manhattan and glad to be!  Today was move in day and i'm so excited to see all of my college friends! ya it's kinda hard to leave home b/c i have fun w/ my family, but Oberlin does get a little boring after awhile.  So today was packed we catching up w/ old friends and see a lot of new faces (unfortunely not many of them have names i remember yet). 

After all of my stuff got moved up to my room and my family left, Kelli and i went to check out Darlene's apartment complete w/ swimming pool and hot tub, so we went for a dip.  later back at the dorm we watched Hitch in the lobby and had a "these are the rules and the consequences for breaking said rules" meeting.  Kelli and i are really excited about decorating our room and getting it all arranged. tomorrow we'll have to get some cinder blocks so we can start.  well as excited as i am i really should get some sleep.  looks like it's going to be another great and exciting year!!
